Nearly 1,000 foster and underserved youth and their families joined us for the 3rd Annual Cinematique Day at Woodland Park Zoo - our biggest one yet!

The event brought festivity, exploration, and connection to families from across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. Thanks to Woodland Park Zoo’s generous partnership, attendees enjoyed free tickets, discounted food, and translated guides in Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, Somali, and Vietnamese. The zoo offered a welcoming and inclusive space for families to connect, play, and learn.

This year, in collaboration with the YMCA of Greater Seattle, we were able to welcome over 500 youth aged 5–17, and 250 children under 5 attended. The response to Cinematique continues to grow — over 94% of families shared they intend to return next year.

Families came from across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties, with over 90% identifying as low-income, fostering, kinship, or otherwise underserved. Nearly 70% reported participation in programs like Medicaid, SNAP, or Free or Reduced Lunch. Over 50% of attending families expressed an interest and need for essential health services. These figures highlight more than just a need — they underscore the urgency of accessible, community - rooted support that events like Cinematique help provide.

What started as a single event is now truly a beloved tradition, and it's all thanks to you. Together, we are building moments of joy, belonging, and possibility for families who deserve it most.
